Animal assisted therapy practitioner

I am Sarah May, I enjoy living in the New Forest, Hampshire with my Husband and a variety of pets including dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens. I have always had a passion for animals, especially Spaniels and have rehomed rabbits for 30 years now.

The newest additions to our family are 3 Continental giant rabbits, Arthur, Martha and Doris, who are settling in nicely. It's a joy to sit and watch them binkying around their enclosure.

I have been lucky in my career to have worked with Foundation stage children in pre-school settings and a speech and language unit in New Milton. I gained an Ofsted recognised qualification level 3 Diploma in Early Years Education and Care. I have always valued the gift of animals and decided to study for a Diploma and I am now a certified Animal assisted therapy and activities practitioner, passing with distinction and what better way to use these wonderful experiences than together!

Finley the sprocker

Finley is our beautiful rehomed 5 year old Sprocker. He should have been a Working Cocker but he carried on growing. Finley is a certified therapy dog, friendly, patient, gentle, confident and at ease in all situations and He even greets people with a smile!

He loves human contact and is content when being petted, cuddled and handled. Finley himself has had his own traumas, including a near fatal accident on a forest walk and he even made front page news in our local paper.

Finley has been involved in our local dog club since we rehomed him at 5 months old.

Finley's achievements:-
